Reservations Consultant

Otago - Queenstown

We are currently seeking a reservations superstar to join our vibrant team here in Queenstown. If you have a real passion for tourism and a desire to exceed customers' expectations, we would like to hear from you!

You will be based at our Gorge Road Offices, with free parking, and a newly furbished office environment. The role involves dealing with phone and email reservations for both wholesale and retail channels, maximising the sales of all Southern Discoveries products, following up queries, and undertaking administrative duties as required. Ideally, you will have had previous experience in a reservations or similar environment.

  • Proven sales ability
  • Outstanding administration and organisational skills
  • Knowledge of reservations systems - IBIS an advantage
  • Stellar attention to detail and accuracy with data entry
  • Ability to deliver fantastic customer service at all times.
  • Ability to think on your feet

This is a fixed term position and involves shift work over a seven day roster which will include weekends and public holidays. Start and finishing times will vary.

Southern Discoveries are a substantial tourism company operating in the Southern Lakes and Fiordland region.  The primary business activities are cruising operations in Milford Sound and on Lake Wakatipu.  The company also operates Coach operations from Queenstown to Milford,  the 'Go Milford' coach services between Te Anau and Milford, the Discovery Centre and guided kayaking tour in Milford Sound, a farm tour and 'station to station' operation a Mt. Nicholas High Country Station and a number of retail business in Queenstown, Te Anau and Milford Sound.
